A beautiful view of Sarchu

Sarchu is very beautiful place on the way to Leh. You have to reach Sarchu, little early, before the sunset so as to take some good photographs and to enjoy the beauty all around. Sarchu is at an altitude of 4,290 mts. It is also a starting point of Zanskar trek in Ladakh. You can also see marmots in Sarchu. Some time they come near to your tents.

People those who are doing Manali - Leh or Leh - Manali in two days, generally they stay either in Sarchu or in Keylong or Jispa. In Sarchu there is only tented accomodation. You will find cheap tents ( this is common tent where 10 to 15 people stay in the same tent), budget tents and luxury tents.
