Road status
Most of the tourist vehicles are going up to Gulaba 9500 feet (20kms on the Manali - Rohtang Road) covering Nehrukund, Kothi and Solang Valley. From Gulaba to Marhi, there is ice on the road near the Rahla Fall because the temperature there goes up to -3 to -5 degree celsius at night, which makes the driving little risky. After Rahla Fall the road up to Marhi is no problem but most of the time police don't allow the tourist vehicles to go beyond Gulaba.
Residents of the Lahaul and Spiti are still allowed to cross the Rohtang Pass by taxies or private vehicles as the buses are not plying on this route because the road is officially closed.
Still, there is enough snow to enjoy at Gulaba.
